My professor said to use the library to find peer-reviewed articles. How do I access the library databases?

Answer

Old Westbury Library subscribes to a number of online databases that are accessible from both on and off campus that contain scholarly peer-reviewed articles, in addition to articles from magazines and newspapers.

To see a full list of databases, go to Research: Databases A-ZRead the database description to see what the database covers. Click the link to connect to it. Off-campus access requires sign-in to the Old Westbury Remote Database.

Many library databases have an option to limit your search to only show "scholarly (peer-reviewed) journals" in your search results list. This limiter is often available on the main database search page. If you don't see it there then it should appear somewhere on your search results page. The location will vary depending on the database publisher.

You can also conduct a search from the Library Homepage, you can then limit the results to peer-reviewed articles on the results page.
